What it is
A complete platform, free and open-source
Fosnie is free and open-source under Apache-2.0: a complete, self-contained product, not a hosted service you rent. It runs fully on your own servers, your cloud, or on-premise, so the platform sits where your data already sits.
Zero egress is the default, not a setting you have to find. Every outbound connector ships dormant and opt-in, so nothing leaves the perimeter until you deliberately turn it on.

Agentic RAG
Answers grounded in your own documents, with inline citations back to the source. Retrieval runs inside the perimeter; nothing is sent out to fetch context.

Multi-step research over your knowledge base and connected tools, assembling a cited brief rather than a single-shot answer.
Document work
Generate documents, and review with tracked changes, so edits are transparent and attributable rather than silently rewritten.
Agents and workflows
Action-taking agents and workflows that do real work, with human-in-the-loop checkpoints where a decision needs sign-off.
Voice
Talk to the platform and have it talk back, running on the same private infrastructure as everything else.
Model agnostic

Fosnie under Apache-2.0 is complete and free: a full platform you can run today with nothing held back. Fosnie Enterprise adds the compliance, governance and scale layer, including SSO and SCIM, tamper-evident audit, legal holds, certified air-gap, DMS connectors, and support with an SLA and DPA.
